Do You Want to Change Someone’s Life and Become a Surrogate?

Have you ever wondered what the requirements are?  There is no time like the present to see if you qualify! There are some basic requirements to look at first and if those are met you then you can move on to the application process.

You must be between the ages of 21-40 years old and you need to have had at least 1 uncomplicated pregnancy and delivery. We will collect and review all medical records from your previous pregnancies to make sure that it is safe for you to be a surrogate.

We also want to make sure that you have completed your own family. Even though it doesn’t happen often, there is always a chance that you can have a complication during the surrogate pregnancy that would leave you unable to carry anymore pregnancies.

It is so important to make sure you have the support of your significant other or partner. If you are single then you will still want to make sure that you have a good support system including other family members or friend. Surrogacy is a long process and can have a lot of ups and downs so it is important that you have someone willing to listen or lend a hand when you need it.

You will also need to be living a healthy lifestyle. You would not qualify to be a surrogate if you use tobacco or cannabis products of any kind. It is also important to be a healthy weight or BMI. Most physicians are looking for a BMI of under 30, because obesity can increase the chance of complications arising during pregnancy.

Lastly, it is also important that you are not receiving any type of government assistance. A surrogate must be viewed as financial stable before entering into a surrogacy agreement. This is something the judge will look at when signing off on parentage orders. Compensation received as a surrogate would also disqualify the surrogate from future government assistance…and it important to remember that the surrogacy compensation does not last forever and that could leave you and your family in a desperate situation.
